As a 50-year-old crane company with over 800 cranes, you can collect a few treasures along the way. One being an a sundry of lattice crane boom sections. Given we always believe that treasures can be repurposed, Barnhart has developed multiple adaptations utilizing the crane boom as lattice boom spreader bars. The advantage is that the capacity to weight / length ratio is very desirable and very customizable. With special designed end caps that provide safe means and methods to rig to the bar and with adding or removing boom sections, you have a wide range of flexibility when designing a custom lifting system. The birthed Barnhart’s Universal Blade Bar that uses lattice boom sections for adaptable lengths and a hydraulic chain drive that provides rotational ability. To tip the bar in the Y-direction, Barnhart utilizes the Barnhart Tip Stick. This provides exceptional capacity to weight and full control in all three directions that allow for adjustment to the CG and/or aiding in removal/installation efficiency.
